The author of this site is environmental scientist and professional beekeeper.
She gathered experience in New Zealand and some of the biggest beekeeping companies in Germany. Her education in professional beekeeping is based on her appreticeship in research apiaries for the university of Bonn, Germany.
For Jana, honey bees and beekeeping are a special subject because they offer intersectional perspectives on farming and land use, handycraft and science, ecology and economy. Furthermore, bees can make you learn for life - just by beeing so different from us.
